Graig C. Suvannavejh, PhD recently joined Mizuho Securities as a Managing Director and Senior Biopharmaceuticals and Biotechnology Equity Research Analyst, bringing over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector, including equity research and investment banking roles at both bulge bracket and healthcare-dedicated boutique investment banks. He joined Mizuho from Goldman Sachs where he successfully built out and led the firm’s European biotechnology equity research franchise while initially based in London, and then, following a move to NY, was a key player in establishing the firm’s US Small-mid cap Biopharma efforts. In financial services, he has also worked at JP Morgan, Jefferies, and UBS, as well as other boutique firms. Dr. Suvannavejh also brings with him corporate experience, with operating roles in business development, corporate strategy and finance at top-tier and also start-up global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including most notably, Biogen and AbbVie. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Northwestern University, a Master’s degree in Physiology and an undergraduate degree in Biology, with both latter degrees earned from Georgetown University. In addition, he, like our esteemed moderator of today’s panel, is an avid runner and endurance athlete.
