Elizabeth Garner, MD, MPH
Dr Elizabeth Garner has over a decade of pharmaceutical development experience, holding roles of increasing strategic responsibility in large and small companies (Merck, Abbott (AbbVie), Myriad Genetics, Agile Therapeutics and ObsEva), developing deep expertise in clinical trial design and conduct, regulatory strategy and medical affairs. She has been lead Sponsor presenter and moderator for two successful FDA Advisory Committee meetings. Dr Garner joined ObsEva as Chief Medical Officer in July 2019, and was previously Chief Medical Officer at Agile Therapeutics (2014-2019). She is a member of the Boards of Directors of Kezar Life Sciences, Pharm-Olam International, the Drug Information Association (DIA) and CorStone (a global non-profit focused on resilience in girls). She is also on the Executive Committee and is current Treasurer of the American Medical Women’s Association. Dr Garner received joint MD and MPH degrees from Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health. She was trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s/Massachusetts General Hospitals and completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr Garner was a 2019 awardee of the Pharmavoice 100 most inspiring individuals in the life-sciences industry.
