Best Practices in Communicating Effectively to CEOs and Boards

Dr Elizabeth Garner has over a decade of pharmaceutical development experience, holding roles of increasing strategic responsibility in large and small companies (Merck, Abbott (AbbVie), Myriad Genetics, Agile Therapeutics and ObsEva), developing deep expertise in clinical trial design and conduct, regulatory strategy and medical affairs. She has been lead Sponsor presenter and moderator for two successful FDA Advisory Committee meetings. Dr Garner joined ObsEva as Chief Medical Officer in July 2019, and was previously Chief Medical Officer at Agile Therapeutics (2014-2019). She is a member of the Boards of Directors of Kezar Life Sciences, Pharm-Olam International, the Drug Information Association (DIA) and CorStone (a global non-profit focused on resilience in girls). She is also on the Executive Committee and is current Treasurer of the American Medical Women’s Association. Dr Garner received joint MD and MPH degrees from Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health. She was trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s/Massachusetts General Hospitals and completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr Garner was a 2019 awardee of the Pharmavoice 100 most inspiring individuals in the life-sciences industry.

Nerissa C Kreher, MD, MBA is an accomplished physician executive and pediatric endocrinologist with strong biotech experience in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs. Her expertise is in the development of therapies for patients with rare diseases across multiple therapeutic areas. She has participated in corporate growth of multiple biotech companies via VC fundraising events as well as IPOs. She previously served as CMO at Tiburio Therapeutics and AVROBIO. Currently, Nerissa is the Chief Medical Officer at Entrada Therapeutics and serves on the Board of Directors of Rezolute Bio.

Dr Julie Krop, serves as AMAG’s chief medical officer and executive vice president of Development. She joined AMAG in June 2015 and has more than 20 years of experience in drug development. Dr Krop most recently worked for Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where she served as vice president of clinical development. She began her career in the biopharmaceutical industry in 1998 at Pfizer, Inc. and has since held various leadership positions at Stryker Regenerative Medicine, Peptimmune, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Dr Krop received a Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University and a medical degree from the Brown University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in endocrinology at Johns Hopkins where she also completed a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar fellowship.

Dr Tesi has been President, Chief Executive Officer and acting Chief Medical Officer since the formation of INmune Bio (NASDAQ: INMB) in September 2015. Prior to his role at INMB, he held leadership positions in both development and commercial sides of the business with responsibility for all phases of drug development, product positioning and launch, post-approval marketing support while supporting the companies in investor relations and business development. Dr Tesi received his MD degree from Washington University School of Medicine in 1982 after majoring in skiing at Utah State University. As an academic transplant surgeon, he was active in kidney, pancreas, liver and intestinal transplantation. Dr Tesi has been a licensed physician since 1982 and Fellow of the American College of Surgery since 1991. Dr Tesi is an avid court tennis player with a handicap of 52. He is always looking for games.
